Yumi’s Story
My name is Yumi, a life-long designer based in London.
I was born and reared on the snowy volcanic island in the far north of Japan, Hokkaido, home to the Ainu indigenous people. Growing up in small country villages, I developed an affinity with the peace of the natural world which has stayed with me all my life.
Even as my career in pixel-perfect digital design has developed, with several marketing awards under my belt, I have always kept the creative, intuitive and holistic approach to problem-solving I acquired growing up in Japan. I take pride in whatever I have decided to focus my energy on; it sparks joy for me to make you smile – I’m in my element giving humane love and care to communication.
